Who I am

Hi! You can call me Enrico (but my real name is Jianchao, “Enrico” is my Italian name).

I am an ordinary young person, still young enough to chase my dreams. After completing four years of university in China, I came alone to the Rome Academy of Fine Arts in 2012 to study sculpture, determined to follow my artistic path.

Seven years of working with clay shaped my hands and heart, but in 2016, for the sake of livelihood, I stepped into a seven-year journey as a clerical worker at an international company.

At the end of 2022, a Christmas gift – a pottery wheel throwing class – reignited the spark in my soul. The moment my hands touched the clay again, I knew it was time to confront my inner self and return to my dream. So in August 2023, I left my stable job and opened my own pottery studio.

Today, I am exactly what you see: fully and joyfully immersed in the world of ceramic art, living the dream that once called to me.
